Wifi Safety at School

Wi-Fi Safety in Schools Report The Department of Health and the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction have completed a review of scientific literature relevant to Wi-Fi use in schools. The report, Responding to Wi-Fi Safety Concerns in Our Schools is posted to the Wi-Fi Safety in Schools

Department of Health and the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction are concerned about the health and safety of all children in Washington. When presented with the idea that children might be harmed by Wi-Fi in schools, agencies collected and reviewed studies by national and international health agencies about potential health risk of exposure to radio frequencies(RF)fields including Wi-Fi. These studies concluded that low levels of RF exposure from Wi-Fi have no clear and consistent evidence of health risk. A draft report was posted to the Department of Health website on January 31, 2014. The draft report was modified based on public comments, and responses to comments submitted by Washington residents are included in an appendix at the end of the report.
